Our Story
Mindful, meditative drinking (or eating) means giving your full attention to that experience — no TV, reading, or talking. Mindful drinking and eating are a reward in itself because for those few minutes you’re having a rich experience of the taste, smell, and texture of your drink.
Drinking with meditative awareness gives us information about the drinking or eating choices we make and it helps us to consume only what we really need.
Another benefit of mindful drinking is that it helps you to become fully aware of how, why, and what you choose to drink, and how your drink actually makes your body feel. This knowledge about the appreciation of your drink along with the practice of yoga will give you a better understanding of how to better nourish yourself.
“Every time you put food or drink into your mouth, you have an opportunity to either enhance or diminish your health. Being more mindful while you are drinking or eating is one of the most important ways you can care for your body.”
